I’m looking at potentially selling my Sako collection and replacing it with a single bolt action in 6.5x55. I found a new CZ 550, still in the box, but after a bad experience with a loose CZ 527, I’m a bit hesitant.
I know the 550 is a legend for big game, but can it pull double duty as a precision rig? My typical season involves everything from 30m moose drives to picking off hares at 300m from a backpack rest.
I’m looking for 0.5 MOA with handloads. Am I asking a cannon to be a laser, or is the CZ 550 capable of that kind of surgical accuracy with minimal tweaking? Or you guys have other recommendations?
