I’ve been using Shooter's Choice CZ FP10 as my go to CLP, it's great, but I’m curious if I should be looking at something else. I keep seeing people rave about Weapon Shield, with some reviewers saying it’s the best stuff on the market, hands down.
Has anyone here made the switch? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it holds up and if it’s actually worth the hype over the standard stuff.

FP-10 is already a 10/10, so youre not behind the curve at all.. Weapon Shield does live up to most of the hype though, it stays slick longer, especially when things get hot, and doesnt seem to dry out as fast. I know folks who switched usually notice smoother cycling and less frequent re-application, not some crazy transformation, just better consistency. So in the end its all you

the best gun lube is honestly whatever you actually use consistently. I’ve been a CLP guy for years and haven't seen any real wear on any of my guns (revolvers and semi autos included) and I shoot and clean them a ton
I’ve put over 30k rounds through my CZ 75 BD and it’s still as tight as the day I bought it

30k rounds is a hell of a testimonial. you’re probably right that I’m overthinking the chemistry. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? I'm still curious, though. have you ever tried the fancy stuff, or have you just stuck with what works?

you know, the biggest thing I noticed moving to Weapon Shield wasn't how it lubed but how it cleaned
It seems to bond to the metal better, making carbon wipe off with just a paper towel next time

OP, FP-10 is already a top tier product. but, if you're looking for better, longer-lasting lubrication and superior corrosion resistance, Weapon Shield is often described as a superior product, not just hype
