Why do some older CZ pistols just shoot better?

I’ve tried plenty of modern carry pistols over the years, but I keep coming back to older CZ models like the CZ-83 because I simply shoot them better. Has anyone else noticed this, or have thoughts on why these older designs feel so natural and accurate compared to newer platforms?

A modern striker-fired trigger is okay, but a well worn CZ DA/SA trigger has a character that helps with accuracy. Also, the lower center of gravity on those older steel frames helps the gun settle back on target much faster.

do you find the extra weight makes it harder to carry, or you think it's worth the trade-off?

this is me! I find that older CZ models, especially the CZ-83, usually shoot better and just feel more natural than many modern, lightweight, striker-fired pistols

I think the extra weight is worth it. No problem with it at all.

Heavy is reliable! Seriously though, the shootability of those older CZs is worth the extra gym time. Once you get used to how flat a steel-framed CZ shoots, everything else feels like a toy

To each their own for sure, i myself dont really mind if its the modern or classic ones. If i like it, i shoot it
